Main AdminProbably the ultimate Mustang, with the radiators moved to the wingtips in the quest for speed, but also probably led to,or played a major part to the disaster on that fateful day in Cleveland in 1949.Which would effect air-racing for the next 15 years.
The markings and name on the aircraft come from Cole Porters"Begin the Beguine".The Beguine is also a dance step and is similar to the Rumba, and is popular in the Carribean.
For more detailed lnformation about this aircraft's history and mystery, click on the LINK BELOW

Regards Duggy
I see that the free modding team have released one of the P-51 aircraft with German V-1 pulse jets under the wing.
My information on these tests were that the aircraft were slower than normal P-51's due too the extra weight & drag that came with this under wing installation. ?
